Seven Shields Framework

Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

Welcome to the Seven Shields Framework. By using this website and our resources, you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who we are

Seven Shields is a child digital-safety education brand created by Alexis Rucker, providing educational assessments, guides, and toolkits. Contact: hello@7shields.org.

Educational purpose — not professional advice

Our assessment, guides, and toolkits are educational resources only. They do not constitute legal, medical, psychological, or professional safety advice, and they are not a substitute for professional judgment or emergency services. Every family and situation is different. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number). To report online child exploitation in the U.S., contact the NCMEC CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678.

Use of our resources

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use resources you access or purchase for your own family, classroom, or organization as described at the point of sale. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or share paid resources publicly, or claim them as your own work.

Intellectual property

The Seven Shields Framework™, its name, structure, content, graphics, and materials are the intellectual property of Alexis Rucker and are protected by applicable law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our materials without written permission, except as expressly allowed for your own permitted use.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by third-party providers (such as Gumroad and Amazon), subject to their own terms and policies. Any refund policy will be stated at the point of sale on the applicable platform. Digital products are delivered electronically; because of their nature, refunds may be limited as described at checkout.

No guarantee of outcomes

We genuinely want our resources to help — but no safety framework can guarantee any particular outcome or eliminate all risk. Online threats change constantly. You are responsible for the decisions you make for your family or organization. We provide tools and information; how you use them is up to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seven Shields and Alexis Rucker are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our resources. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the resource in question.

Third-party links

Our resources may reference or link to third-party organizations and reporting resources (such as NCMEC, Know2Protect, or others) for your convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content. Verify current contact details directly with those organizations before relying on them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
